The Los Angeles Valley College Foundation provides scholarships to support students achieve their educational goals. These scholarships are made possible by the generous support of independent donors, community members, businesses, LAVC alumni, and the campus community.  As a result, award amounts, application deadlines, and eligibility requirements vary.

Donate to an Existing Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in giving to our scholarship program to benefit LAVC students. Donors may make a contribution to any existing named scholarship or to Foundation Impact Scholarships. This ensures donors monies will be pooled to make the greatest impact for students. To view full list of available scholarships, click here:

To Make a Donation

Donations can be made via check sent to the foundation office or online at DONATE NOW | Los Angeles Valley College Foundation (lavcfoundation.org), go to “General Donations, then in “Additional Information About this Gift” include a notation on how to direct the donation.

Establish Named Endowed Scholarships

An endowed scholarship provides a lasting tribute in honor/memory of loved ones or other exemplary individuals. Donors may choose to establish their own endowed scholarship with a minimum gift of $25,000, either from a one-time gift or with donations over a three year period. Interest earned from an endowment will be used to support a student scholarship in perpetuity.

Establish a New Scholarship

A minimum gift is required to establish a scholarship, with a minimum three-year commitment.  Criteria can include areas of study, financial need, GPA or transfer requirements, or other requirements designated by the donor. To establish a new scholarship, contact Development Officer Ronya Waters at watersre@lavc.edu.

Students: Apply for Scholarships – Spring 2027

How to Apply to Scholarships: Log in to your student portal and click on the “Scholarship Tile.”  Click on “Login Here” next to the Student Log In.

How it works: All scholarships are administered via the Next Gen digital platform and accessed through the Student Information System (SIS) portal. Students submit applications that meet standardized criteria, in addition to any criteria that is specific to certain scholarships. Next Gen uses an algorithm to match students to scholarships based on a student’s qualifications. This system streamlines the process by allowing students to apply for multiple scholarships using a single application. Independent committees then review and select qualified candidates.
