On May 15th, the Foundation held its annual Scholarship Reception, honoring the more than 200 students who received scholarship awards this past spring. Students, families, and scholarship donors attended the scholarship recognition ceremony that featured remarks from Valley College President Barry Gribbons, Foundation staff members, and scholarship recipients. A heartfelt thanks went out to all of the donors who supported our students and scholarship program.
One recipient, Samantha Ladson, commented, “By awarding me the Valley-Carol Caldwell Memorial Scholarship Fund, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. I hope one day that I will also be able to help struggling students reach their goals in higher education by assisting them in the same way you have helped me. Thank you again and I truly appreciate this opportunity.”
