Please join us to celebrate the return of Patrons of the Arts at Los Angeles Valley College.
The evening will feature an exclusive presentation of Pável Acevedo’s exhibition the shell in the clouds, Má Conch’t Do’T Nub’T El caparazón en las nubes at the Los Angeles Valley College Art Gallery
This solo exhibition explores and celebrates innated human rebelliousness autonomy, and self-determination, inspired by the oral Zapotec stories and truths that were documented by Indigenous ancestors.
Featured in this exhibition alongside Acevedo’s works will be a site-specific wall mural designed and executed in collaboration with students from the LAVC Puente program
